To secretly transport men of military age to the border, an international criminal group used an ambulance with a medical crew. In this way, the men reached the borders of one of the European countries, bypassing checkpoints. They got abroad along forest paths, they were guided by another one of the participants in the scheme. This was reported on November 2 by the Security Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that on the Odessa-Reni international highway, law enforcement officers stopped an ambulance that was carrying two evaders to the border with flashing lights.
The organizers of the criminal group turned out to be two foreigners with temporary residence permits in Ukraine and a resident of the Odessa region.
They helped potential conscripts avoid mobilization and get abroad illegally. From one client they took payment from 4.8 thousand dollars. The defendants received money to the bank card of their accomplice from the southern region of Ukraine.
During the searches, bank cards, mobile phones were red-handed, and money was confiscated from participants in the scheme. All three organizers of the group were informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to nine years in prison with confiscation of property.
Soon, law enforcement officers will also classify the criminal actions of the ambulance crew involved in illegal activities.
Let us remind you that on October 27, Ukrainian border guards detained 14 men of military age in the Odessa region who were trying to get to Moldova. The evaders contacted the organizers on the Internet, who, for 2 thousand dollars. showed them the routes to travel.
