The press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this today, November 1.
According to the investigation, Azarov, who has been hiding on Russian territory since 2014, from the beginning of the full-scale invasion to the present, using Russian media and the Internet, has been carrying out active information activities in cooperation with the Russian Federation.
The former Ukrainian official regularly participates in broadcasts of Russian news channels, videos from which are subsequently distributed on the Internet. By promoting Russian narratives, he carries out information activities aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian state,” notes the Office of the Prosecutor General.
It is noted that in videos posted on the Youtube channel “Another Truth” and media portals of Russian media, the ex-prime minister:
- justifies the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014, and the occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine;
- expresses public calls for the overthrow of the constitutional order in Ukraine by violent means.
Thus, the official calls for denazification and a violent change of the Ukrainian government, spreads the narrative that Putin’s special operation saved Donetsk from capture, “preventing this tragedy” and calls the events in Bucha “fake,” the department notes.
The department notes that the facts of the ex-prime minister’s illegal activities are confirmed, among other things, by the conclusion of a judicial linguistic semantic-textual examination.
The Kharkov Agreements case went to court, the main suspects are Yanukovych and Azarov
