This is the result of a joint operation by the BUAR 110th Mechanized Brigade and the Central Security Service “A” of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of summer, this is the 12th TOS-1A installation of the Russian army destroyed, six of which were hit in October.
The TOS-1A is considered a very dangerous weapon because it uses flamethrower or thermobaric ammunition. However, it has serious drawbacks. For example, the system can shoot a maximum of 6 kilometers. Thus, the launcher needs to enter the affected area by artillery and anti-tank systems. In addition, the vehicle is large and carries up to 24 extremely explosive ammunition, which is rather poorly protected.
