Today Ukraine is the most pro-Israeli country in Europe, Ambassador Mikhail Brodsky said.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky can come to Israel for a visit at any time. Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky said this in an interview with Ynet, published the previous day.
Journalists asked him if it was true that Israel told Ukraine after the start of the Hamas attack that now was not the best time for Zelensky to visit the country.
“This is not true, because there is no official request from Ukraine about the visit. A message was sent to Ukraine that he can come to Israel at any time, and I believe he will come soon. The date has not been set yet, but he is a welcome guest in Israel, and I believe the visit is coming soon,” said Brodsky.
The ambassador thanked the Ukrainians for their support for Israel and said that now “Ukraine is the most pro-Israeli country in Europe.”
Earlier, the media reported that Zelensky asked to consider the possibility of a visit to Israel. The corresponding request was allegedly sent by the Office of the President.
In turn, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba assessed the prospects for Zelensky’s visit to Israel and said that “now the stage has changed.”
