The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they struck a military building in Syria. Hezbollah targets in Lebanon were also attacked.
“Recently, in response to launches from Syria into Israeli territory, an IDF aircraft hit military infrastructure on Syrian territory,” the Israeli military said in a statement.
It was also reported that targets of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanon were later attacked. Among the targets hit were Hezbollah’s command and control infrastructure and other military infrastructure.
In turn, Hezbollah militants said that in southern Lebanon they were able to shoot down an Israeli drone with a surface-to-air missile, Reuters reports.
It was noted that Hezbollah announced such an incident for the first time amid the border escalation.
It was previously reported that Israel attacked more than 450 Hamas military targets in one day. And on Saturday, Israel announced a new phase in the war with Hamas.
