The Czech Defense Minister has called for the country to withdraw from the UN over a resolution calling for a truce between Israel and Hamas and not condemning the October 7 terrorist attack.

The head of the Czech Ministry of Defense, Jana Chernokhova, wrote about this on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Exactly three weeks ago, Hamas killed more than 1,400 Israelis, that is, more victims per inhabitant of the country than the Islamist militants of the al-Qaeda organization killed in the United States on September 11. And only 14 countries, including ours, clearly and clearly spoke out against this unprecedented terrorist attack committed by Hamas terrorists! – she wrote.
I’m ashamed of the UN. In my opinion, the Czech Republic has no place in an organization that supports terrorists and does not respect the fundamental right to self-defense. “Come on, let’s go out,” said the minister.
The UN resolution condemns violence directed at Palestinian and Israeli civilians and calls for a humanitarian truce and the immediate release of illegally held captives.
Canada proposed an amendment to the text of the resolution so that it would contain an unequivocal condemnation of Hamas “terrorist attacks” and demand the immediate release of the hostages, but its proposal was rejected.
