Tel Aviv intends to re-evaluate relations with Ankara, Eli Cohen explains his decision.
All Israeli diplomats in Turkey will return to their homeland due to statements by the Turkish authorities about the war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist movement. About that reported Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen on Twitter on Saturday, October 28.
“Due to the serious statements from Turkey, I ordered the return of diplomatic representatives from there to re-evaluate relations between Israel and Turkey,” he wrote.
Earlier on Saturday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed a pro-Palestinian rally in Istanbul and called Israel an “occupier” who has been “committing war crimes for 22 days.”
Erdogan also said that Hamas militants are “not terrorists.”
