Due to difficult weather conditions in the capital, several people were injured due to falling branches and trees. And in the Shevchenko district, a passer-by died as a result of a falling tree. Doctors tried to resuscitate the man, but the injuries received were incompatible with life. This was reported by the Kiev City State Administration.
In the same area, a woman suffered a spinal injury due to falling branches and had to be hospitalized. A tree also fell on a car on Beresteysky Avenue. The person in the vehicle refused hospitalization.
Interior Minister Igor Klimenko clarified that in the Podolsk district of Kyiv, a tree also fell on a man and he died. Thus, the number of victims of bad weather increased to two.
The State Emergency Service stated that wind gusts of 25-28 m/s are expected in Kyiv by the end of the day. A second alert level, orange, was declared in the capital.
