The Ukrainian businessman will remain in pre-trial detention for another two months. It was this period of detention that the prosecution insisted on. The Shevchenkovsky District Court in Kiev made the decision today, October 27. Thus, Kolomoisky will remain in pre-trial detention at least until December 2, 2023. This was reported by Public.
As is known, Kolomoisky is suspected of three counts: fraud, money laundering and embezzlement of PrivatBank funds.
The Security Service of Ukraine stated that during 2013-2020 the businessman legalized more than 500 million UAH. by transferring them abroad, using the infrastructure of controlled banking institutions.
Let us remind you that on October 6, the Court of Appeal left unchanged the preventive measure against Igor Kolomoisky in the form of detention and bail of UAH 3.9 billion. The businessman’s lawyers asked to cancel the increase in bail from 510 million to almost 3.9 billion UAH.
