The Russians recruited this representative of the UOC-MP from the Sumy region at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. He came to the attention of the occupiers because of his pro-Kremlin views, which he repeatedly made public among those around him, in particular, during communications with church parishioners. The attacker transmitted information about the Ukrainian military to the occupiers. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.

While working for the enemy, the traitor tried to “secretly” use local residents and, under the guise of everyday conversations, asked them for the necessary information. He also recorded the locations of the defense forces when he traveled through the border region.

The Russian agent passed on the resulting intelligence information to his supervisor from the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation. To do this, he used text messages and multimedia files of georeferenced objects.

He was detained in March while trying to transmit intelligence information to the FSB. Evidence of his collaboration with the enemy was discovered during searches. According to the SBU materials, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison.

Let us recall that in the Kharkov region, the rector of one of the churches of the Izyum diocese of the UOC actively supported the actions of the aggressor country. In particular, the archpriest of the Moscow Patriarchate blessed representatives from Russia and blessed the military vehicles of the invaders.
