The occupier discussed the corresponding proposal with the general director of the Progress rocket and space center, Dmitry Baranov. They were talking about the technical details of a launch vehicle attack on a large city in Ukraine. The corresponding recording of the conversation was published by the German publication Bild.
It is noted that the Russians were concerned about the risks associated with the possible fall of parts of the rocket onto the territory of the aggressor country, as well as the inaccuracy of such a plan. Since the deviation when hitting a target could be from 50 to 100 km.
Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate agreed that Rogozin could indeed propose a space rocket hitting Ukraine. The department noted that Rogozin is “a Russian Nazi, obsessed with imperial ideas, very far from the space industry.”
Let us recall that in September, the former head of the Russian state corporation Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, was appointed a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation from the temporarily occupied Zaporozhye. In December 2022, Rogozin was wounded as a result of shelling of a restaurant in Donetsk, where he was celebrating his birthday.
