Johnson is also known for supporting former US President Donald Trump, who endorsed his candidacy. He led Trump’s legal defense during the House impeachment trial and asked the US Supreme Court to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
The Republicans for Ukraine Initiative gave Mike Johnson a low grade of F in terms of support for Ukraine.
In particular, the politician voted only for granting Lend-Lease to Ukraine and continues to support initiatives to reduce aid to Kyiv.
