The first electronic logging ticket was issued in Ukraine – it was received by the Rivne branch of the state specialized enterprise Forests of Ukraine Kostopil forestry. This was announced by the General Director of State Enterprise Forests of Ukraine Yuri Bolokhovets.
The business leader believes that electronic logger tickets will allow:

introduce a unified electronic database of logging tickets and wood origin certificates;

exercise more effective public control over timber harvesting;

conduct more effective countering of illegal logging;

introduce more transparency, reduce corruption risks (by minimizing ties between farms and officials).
“The electronic logging ticket is an important part of the forest reform and another big step towards the de-shading of the forest industry,” said Bolokhovets.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has accumulated more than 130 thousand cubic meters of firewood for the heating season.
