As part of the program of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky Green countryannounced in June 2021, GP Forests of Ukraine planted 389 million seedlings, and in total the program provides for the planting of 1 billion trees. The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strelets told reporters about this, writes Interfax-Ukraine.
“389 million seedlings were planted. So we can say that the program has been completed by 40%, despite the full-scale invasion,” the official said.

The Ministry of Natural Resources has made it clear that it plans to plant approximately 100 million trees this fall.
