The Turkish President, in a conversation with the head of the Kremlin, called “the silence of the Western states” the cause of the crisis in the Gaza Strip.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on the phone with the head of the ruling regime of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. The Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration reported this on the social network H.
The parties discussed the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Palestine and the humanitarian crisis in the region.
Erdogan spoke of “increasing brutality regarding Palestinian lands” and a rapid increase in the number of casualties among Palestinian civilians. According to him, the “silence of Western states” in the face of what is happening has brought the humanitarian crisis in Gaza to an “inevitable level.”
The Turkish leader also assured that Ankara will continue to make all necessary efforts to ensure calm in the region.
Recall that former US President Donald Trump called Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban “the great leader of Turkey.”
Earlier, NATO said it had the necessary resources to simultaneously support Israel in its conflict with Hamas, as well as assist Ukraine in its war with the Russian Federation.
