After evacuation, it is no longer possible to return with children until the regional military administration publishes the relevant information.
Entry to 23 settlements in the Kherson region, where the forced evacuation of children was announced, is closed to civilians. Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk announced this at the national telethon, writes RBC-Ukraine.
“After evacuating with children, it will not be possible to return until the relevant information is published by the regional military administration. Security and defense forces will inform people about the possibility of returning,” emphasized Vereshchuk.
It is reported that all children under the age of 18 are subject to mandatory evacuation. Children may evacuate with one parent or the entire family.
A representative of Kherson OVA told the telethon that not too many children were evacuated from the region.
“Today we also released children, but not many. Now the law enforcement officers will carry out their work based on the new decision that coercion can be used. By the end of the week we will have different results ,” he says.
According to him, they plan to evacuate 802 children from the region, but their families do not want to leave their homes until the last minute.
