We are talking about people with exclusively Ukrainian passports, that is, without dual citizenship, Evgeniy Korniychuk clarified.

3.5 thousand Ukrainians left Israel, and only about 520 of them left the country on evacuation flights. Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Korniychuk spoke about this at a briefing on Tuesday, October 24.

“According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 3.5 thousand Ukrainian citizens have left Israel since the beginning of the mass terrorist attacks. These are people with exclusive Ukrainian passports, without dual citizenship. Of these, approx. 520 took advantage of the embassy’s assistance and took evacuation flights,” the diplomat noted.

Korniychuk assessed the situation in Israel as continuing to be difficult.

“Those citizens who contacted the embassy with a request to evacuate, almost all left with the help of the embassy or on their own,” he added.

We remind you that, according to the latest data, 22 citizens of Ukraine were killed during the conflict between the Israeli army and the terrorist group Hamas.

It has also been reported that up to 500 Ukrainians may be blocked in the Gaza Strip.
