Opposition party leaders called on President Andrzej Duda not to postpone the appointment of the first government meeting.
Leaders of opposition parties Civic Coalition, Third way And Left officially announced at a joint press conference their readiness to create a coalition and nominate a leader Civic platform Donald Tusk for the post of Prime Minister of Poland, reports RMF FM.
The leaders of the opposition parties called on President Andrzej Duda not to postpone the scheduling of the first meeting of the government, count who has the majority, and entrust the mission of forming a government directly to a representative of the successful opposition, and not to a politician from the leading party Law and Justice.
“We will ask the president to convene a meeting of the Seimas as soon as possible. We have the majority to elect the prime minister,” the leader said Polish Peasant Party Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.
According to him, his party will go to the consultation with Duda on Wednesday.
Chief Third way Shimon Golovnya also called on the president “not to waste another second of our time.”
Opposition parties reportedly did not provide any details on other personnel arrangements.
We remind you that on October 15 parliamentary elections were held in Poland. On October 17, Poland finished counting all votes in the parliamentary election. The ruling Law and Justice party took first place with 35.38% of the votes.
