Last year, from June 6 to July 1, Dalke was an employee of the NSA, where he held the position of information systems security developer. He admitted in U.S. District Court that between August and September 2022 he used an encrypted email account to transmit portions of three classified documents to an individual believed to be a Russian agent. In fact, this person was an undercover FBI employee. All three documents from which extracts were taken contain confidential data on US defense capabilities and are classified as “Top Secret”.
According to the investigation materials, at the end of August 2022, Dalke asked the “Russian agent” for 85 thousand dollars. in exchange for all available information. He argued that this information could be useful for Russia. He also arranged for additional classified information to be passed on to the “agent” in Denver, following instructions actually provided by the FBI. One of the transferred files turned out to be a letter in Russian, in which Dalke spoke about friendship and the general benefit of his action.
