German defense concern Rheinmetall and JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry formed a joint venture. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.
It is reported that the joint venture will service and repair equipment received by Ukraine from partners, and the enterprise will also localize the production of top models of Rheinmetall AG equipment.
“Rheinmetall LLC – Ukrainian Defense Industry was registered on October 18. I am pleased to announce this during the German-Ukrainian Business Forum in Berlin. The creation of a joint venture is, without exaggeration, a landmark event that requires cooperation between our countries to a qualitatively new level and will allow us to jointly build the arsenal of the free world,” the prime minister said in a statement.
It was previously reported that Shmygal arrived in Berlin and met with Scholz.
