“I can confirm that there was an attempted drone attack on Al-Tanf (military base – ed.) in Syria,” Pentagon spokesman General Patrick Ryder noted during a media briefing.
According to him, American forces shot down two attack drones. Not a single soldier was injured.
Ryder also added that the United States is seeing an “increase in the number of rocket attacks and drone attacks” against American bases and facilities located in Iraq and Syria.
“We will do everything necessary to ensure the protection of our forces,” the Pentagon spokesman concluded.
Let us remind you that on October 23, US military bases in the Middle East were attacked. In particular, drones attacked the US base in Syria Al-Tanf. A missile strike was also carried out on another US base in Syria – Conoco. In Iraq, the US military intercepted three more attack drones.
