The High Anti-Corruption Court, at a meeting on Monday, October 23, chose a preventive measure for two more suspects in the case of misuse of more than 88 million UAH during the reconstruction of the administrative building of the State Migration Service of Ukraine. This was reported by the SAPO press service.
We are talking about the former deputy chairman of the State Migration Service and a businessman. The court chose a measure of restraint for the suspects in the form of detention.
It is noted that after arresting people and transporting them to the place of pre-trial investigation, the investigating judge will decide on the use of this preventive measure.
As reported, on September 21, two former officials of the State Migration Service and a businessman from the Russian Federation were informed of the suspicion of theft of more than 88 million UAH during the reconstruction of the administrative building of the State Migration Service. In 2015, the State Migration Service received a building in the center of the capital for the renovation of the central office. It was found that these people have been stealing funds meant for office furniture for a long time. Of the funds allocated for reconstruction in the amount of 205 million UAH, they took more than 88 million UAH, which was confirmed by the conclusions of the relevant reviews.
