If convicted, the suspect faces up to eight years in prison.
In Kyiv, police reported suspicion of the driver who hit a military man at a checkpoint in a fatal accident at night, the National Police of Ukraine reports.
“The driver was notified of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and was presented with a petition to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention,” reports officials of Law enforcement.
If found guilty, the suspect faces up to eight years in prison with a disqualification from driving for up to three years.
As we already wrote, the driver of a car at a checkpoint in Kyiv on the night of October 22 at about 00:30 ran into a serviceman. The latter died from injuries sustained as a result of the accident.
