The defense of Avdiivka is of great importance from the point of view of protecting Ukrainian territories, because it blocks the occupiers’ attempts to enter the administrative borders of Lugansk and Donbass. Each forced retreat from territories and populated areas means a new battle, which the Ukrainian army wages with much more difficult efforts and losses. And the price for an attack is always higher when compared with defense. Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov spoke about this in an interview with Espresso.
Avdiivka really matters. This is not the first aggravation and not the first time that commands have been heard from the occupiers, from the military-political leadership to the occupation corps, saying that we need to go to the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions,” he noted.
According to him, now “control over Avdiivka” is undergoing another escalation. Previously, the Russian offensive on the city failed, but now the enemy has become active again.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian military reported that the Russian army is not abandoning attempts to take Avdiivka, but its activity has decreased somewhat. At the same time, the Russians are digging tunnels in the Avdeevsky direction for camouflage, as well as unexpected attacks almost from underground. And they use small radio vehicles to deliver ammunition.
