The spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Russians are molding such drones from “sticks” and launching them.
Russia uses primitive UAVs in some places: engines for them are bought on AliExpress. However, they carry several kilograms of explosives and are therefore dangerous. This is what the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, said in a telethon.
So the military man answered the question why UAF messages sometimes talk about unknown types of enemy UAVs.
“The UAV is an unknown type – there are fragments, their remains, where it is clear what the enemy used to build them – the machines were bought on AliExpress,” he said.
The enemy makes such UAVs from simple materials, “as they say, they make them from sticks” and launch them … towards our state, said a representative of the PS of Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“It is an attack-type UAV, and it carries several kilograms of explosives, so it poses a risk,” Ignat added.
According to him, Russia today not only buys, but also produces many drones itself.
“Look at how many FPV drones they make. There are thousands. And it’s a dangerous weapon. And we need to develop attack UAVs,” the Air Force representative concluded.
Ignat explained the significance of the attacks on Russian airports in Berdyansk and Lugansk
