Local hospitals ran out of fuel and supplies, and 64 medical staff died.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 4,385 since October 7, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. This was reported by CNN on Saturday, October 21.
The Gaza Strip continues to be hit by Israeli airstrikes, and aid agencies warn that local hospitals are running out of fuel and supplies.
A spokesman for the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry said seven hospitals and 21 primary health care centers were destroyed in the action and 64 medical staff were killed.
“At this stage it’s absolutely a matter of life and death,” said Avril Benoit, executive director of Doctors Without Borders.
Let’s remember that the UN has previously said that the Gaza Strip, which is blockaded by Israeli troops, is on the verge of collapse. Body bags are even lacking.
As you know, on October 7, the Hamas group attacked southern Israel. The Israel Defense Forces launched a military operation in the Gaza Strip against Hamas.
