The Cabinet of Ministers supported the resolution developed by the Ministry of Defense allowing simplified access to the operation and supply of drones and electronic warfare equipment for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military department announced this on Saturday, October 21.
It is now indicated that the approval of drones and electronic warfare equipment will come from a joint departmental test report or based on the results of a study of declared tactical and technical characteristics.
Also, all government customers are allowed to purchase UAVs and electronic warfare equipment if they have conducted joint departmental tests with manufacturers.
“Prior to this, the process of entry into operation was unreasonably long – studying technical documentation, conducting tests, determining and receiving requirements from the Armed Forces. This was unacceptable during the war, “the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
Today the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will approve the technical requirements for UAVs, indicating the tactical and technical characteristics that such products must meet to be allowed to operate.
In addition, the General Staff is entrusted with the responsibility of approving the technical requirements for RES facilities and the current demand for each type of RES.
“In the past, the time and sequence of the procedures were not determined. And therefore, the permission to operate and provide weapons to military units was stretched over several months,” explained the Ministry of Defense.
Let us remind you that as much as possible the government has simplified the import of raw materials for the production of ammunition and warheads for drones. This will allow us to increase the production of drones.
