President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the speech by saying that US investment in Ukraine’s defense guarantees the long-term security of all of Europe and the world. Meanwhile, the Kremlin was angered by the comparisons between Putin and Hamas. They said that “they consider such a tone unacceptable in relation to the Russian Federation and in relation to their president.”

The former rector of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Pavel (Peter Lebed) will be tried for subversive activities against Ukraine. The SBU reported that they have completed the investigation and submitted an indictment to the court. Metropolitan Pavel faces up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Malta will host the third peace summit with the participation of foreign policy and national security advisers to world leaders on the principles of restoring a sustainable and just peace for Ukraine.
