The scammer usually follows the same pattern – when asked to pay the bill, he falls to the ground and feigns a heart attack.

In the Spanish city of Alicante, a foreigner faked a heart attack about 20 times in trendy restaurants to avoid paying the bill. It was reported on Friday, October 20, by the Spanish publication 20 Minutes.

Noted that 50-year-old Lithuanian Aidas J. ordered a seafood dish with a glass of whiskey, and also liked ensaladilla rusa, a Spanish version of Olivier salad.

In Spain, the man is considered a “typical Russian tourist,” although in fact he is a citizen of Lithuania. The man is well dressed, so the waiters serve him, believing he has money to pay.

The publication wrote that Idas does not speak Spanish, although he seems to understand it. He was first jailed for faking a heart attack to avoid paying a bill in November 2022. And since then he has pulled this trick at restaurants 20 times.

A person usually acts according to the same method. He was last detained after attempting to leave the El Buen Comer restaurant in the historic center with an unpaid bill of 34.85 euros. When employees of the establishment stopped him, he said he was going to the hotel to get money. But, upon receiving a refusal, the man fell to the ground and pretended to be sick. However, restaurant workers recognized the man and called the police.

Law enforcement officers are also recognizing local violators. A trial was ordered against him for a petty crime – fraud.

It was previously reported that the Englishman had been feigning cancer for years to manipulate his beloved. He also beat the woman, saying the attack was a side effect of the pills.

It was also reported that a taxi driver was fired for faking a heart attack for money. The driver first wants to turn off the meter so he can get more for the trip, and then he commits an attack.
