The Ukrainian Armed Forces used American ATACMS missiles for the first time to attack airfields in Berdyansk and Lugansk. This attack is likely to impact the aggressor Russia’s ability to both defend and attack at the front.

This is stated in the review of the British Ministry of Defense on October 20.
British intelligence recalls that on October 17, as a result of attacks on military airfields of the Russian army in Berdyansk and Lugansk, “several” helicopters and air defense systems were most likely destroyed.
Although the extent of the damage has not yet been confirmed, it is likely that nine Russian military helicopters were destroyed in Berdyansk and five in Lugansk. Ukraine claims to have used the ATACMS long-range tactical missile provided by the US for the first time, the review notes.
Analysts point out that until now the participation of fixed wing aircraft in air support for Russian forces has been very small and the Russian defense has increasingly relied on helicopters.
The airfield at Berdyansk was used by the Russians as a forward base on the southern front for both logistics and offensive and defensive capabilities.
There is a realistic possibility that this strike will once again force the Russian Federation to move operational bases and command posts further than the front line, which will increase the burden on supply chains, the intelligence adds.
