AMHERST, NY (AP) – Police are investigating a fire at an abortion center outside of Buffalo on Tuesday as an alleged event – workers at the center suspect it was the work of women’s rights activists.
The fire was reported around 3 a.m. and left the building temporarily unused, said Jim Harden, CEO of CompassCare.
“Essentially, they bombed the operation,” Harden said. “The main reception windows and the nurse’s office were broken and burned.”
The Amherst police statement about the investigation contained no suspicious reasons. The FBI declined to comment on whether he was involved in the fire investigation.

“This is the face of abortion,” he said. “They’ll explain to us.”
