Again wounded, but again not serious – I caught a piece of debris to the side,” Sentsov wrote.
The former Kremlin prisoner did not provide other details about the injury.
This is the director’s third injury during the war. In July, Sentsov said that he received a shell shock on the battlefield, after which he was hospitalized.
Recently, Sentsov wrote that his group had to pull back from forward positions south of Robotinoy to the rear and travel almost 10 km under constant mortar fire.
As I walked, I realized that for the first time I was covering on foot the entire route of the land liberated during this counteroffensive. All these landings, intersections, positions have their own names. There were fierce battles for each of them, nothing was given for free… Each point on the map, in addition to its name, also has a list of names of friends who died so that it became ours… This distance is not measured in kilometers, this distance is measured in human lives .
Let us recall that in 2015, Oleg Sentsov was sentenced by the so-called court of the aggressor country Russia to 20 years in prison on charges of terrorism. In September 2019, the director returned to Ukraine as part of a prisoner exchange. After the full-scale invasion of the Russian army in Ukraine, Sentsov joined the ranks of the territorial defense. He fought in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. Currently, Sentsov serves in the 47th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
