This was reported by the publication “Play”.
He was found guilty of treason and collaboration. Stremousov was sentenced to nine years in prison on charges of collaboration, 13 years in prison with confiscation of property for treason, and life for state treason in an armed conflict. The panel of judges also collected 13 thousand UAH from the defendant for legal costs.
Kherson native Kirill Stremousov defected to Russia immediately after Russian criminals broke into Ukraine. The Ukrainian Security Service brought charges against him in March 2022.
On November 9, 2022, Stremousov allegedly died. According to official Russian data, the cause of his death was an accident – the car Stremousov was driving collided with a truck in the Novaya Kakhovka area. The news of Stremousov’s death appeared a few hours before the official announcement of the release of Russian troops from Kherson.
As Grid explains, Ukrainian authorities continued to prosecute Stremousov because they could not officially confirm his death.
