King Abdullah II of Jordan will hold a quadripartite summit on Wednesday, October 18. This was announced by the press service of the Royal House of Jordan on Tuesday, October 17.
It is indicated that the event will be attended by US President Joe Biden, Egyptian President Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi and the head of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas.
“Discussions will focus on ways to stop the ongoing war in Gaza and the severity of its consequences for the region, as well as ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid to the strip,” it said.
It was noted that the leaders will also work “to find a political horizon that will continue the peace process.”
Earlier, the King of Jordan announced the threat of expanding the war in the Middle East. Abdullah II noted that this year has been the bloodiest for Israel and Palestine in recent decades, but it could be worse.
Israel has asked the US for $10 billion worth of weapons.
