The combined results of Poland’s three opposition parties will give it a majority in the Sejm.
Poland’s State Election Commission has counted 75% of the votes after parliamentary elections held in the country on October 15.
According to data published on the official website of the electoral commission, Poland’s ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) Jaroslaw Kaczynski took first place with a score of 37.03%.
The largest opposition association Civic Coalition got 29.11% of the votes, unanimity Third way – 14.47%. Left – 8.31%. The combined results of these three opposition parties will allow them to gain a majority in the Seimas and qualify for the formation of a government.
A far-right party will also enter parliament Confederation with 7.24% of the votes.
The State Election Commission plans to announce the final official election results on Tuesday, October 17.
We remind you that on October 15, elections to the Sejm and Senate, as well as voting in a referendum, were held in Poland. The turnout in the national referendum was 40%, so the results are not binding.
