The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operations in the direction of Melitopol and offensive operations in the direction of Bakhmut.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Saturday evening, October 14.
“During the day, 43 military clashes took place. The enemy launched 2 missiles and 37 air strikes, carried out 47 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As as a result of the Russian terrorist attack, unfortunately, there were dead and injured citizens and private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged,” the statement said.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
In the direction of Kupyansk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five attacks by invaders in the areas of Sinkovka and Ivanovka in the Kharkov region.
In the Avdeevka direction, our defenders are bravely holding the line, repelling eight enemy attacks in the Avdeevka area and seven more attacks near Tonenky and Pervomaisky, Donetsk region.
In the Maryinsky direction, during the day, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 10 enemy attacks in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region.
In the direction of Zaporozhye, the enemy tried five times to restore the lost position in the Robotinoy area of the Zaporozhye region, but it was unsuccessful.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue offensive operations in the direction of Melitopol, offensive (attack) actions in the direction of Bakhmut, causing damage to the occupation forces in manpower and equipment, depleting the enemy in entire front line.
During the day, the defense aviation carried out 12 strikes on areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, and 2 on the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems.
Units of the missile forces hit a command post and two enemy artillery pieces.
