The situation in the directions of Kupyansky and Limansky has worsened significantly in recent days. This was stated by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel General Alexander Syrsky.
“The enemy, after inflicting defeats for two months, continued and began active offensive operations in the area of Makeevka, and then in the direction of Kupyansk. Heavy fighting continued. The main objective of the enemy was to defeat the group of our troops, surround Kupyansk and reach the line of the Oskol River,” – he said.
Syrsky added that the Russians are conducting dozens of attacks on assault groups supported by armored vehicles, and are conducting heavy mortar and artillery fire on Defense Forces positions. However, Ukrainian fighters are ready for this and provide a worthy rebuff to the enemy.
