The Islamic group Hamas, which rules Gaza, said on October 14 that it welcomes Russia’s “tireless efforts to end Israel’s aggression” against the militants. CNN reported it.
“We appreciate the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Zionist aggression against our people and his opposition to the siege of Gaza, the cutting off of humanitarian aid supplies and attacks on safe civilians,” Hamas said in a statement.
Earlier, Russian dictator Putin called on both sides in the conflict between Israel and Hamas to “minimize or reduce to zero” civilian casualties.
The publication noted the cynical nature of Putin’s remarks, as Russia continues its merciless military campaign against Ukraine and is under investigation by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.
Earlier it was reported that Putin found “reasons” for the war with Israel. According to the head of the Kremlin, “Israel has occupied part of the Palestinian lands,” and “the United States has abandoned the settlement mechanisms in the Middle East.”
