The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation reported on October 13 that a serviceman of one of the battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine demanded unlawful benefits from four of his subordinates – 150 thousand hryvnia from each.

For failure to pay a bribe, he promised to cause obstacles during service and further accrual of funds for performing combat missions.

The commander was detained while receiving funds, and in his official car they found money received as a bribe, two pistols, an anti-drone gun and other material evidence.

During a search of the residence, 20 new copters, an EcoFlow charging station and cartridges were found.

The detainee faces criminal liability under Part 3 of Art. 368 CC. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to 3 years with confiscation of property.
