Ladin took part in several trials of Crimean Tatars accused of involvement in the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir, as well as in cases of pro-Ukrainian activists in Crimea. After the mass invasion began, he defended Ukrainian prisoners of war and abducted civilians who were charged with criminal charges by Russian authorities. Currently, Ladin is defending Rostov-on-Don Melitopol activist Yaroslav Zhuk, who is accused of a terrorist attack.
