Such data were announced by the head of the SBU Vasily Malyuk, writes The Wall Street Journal.
WSJ points out that Malysh compared the spread of Russian agents in independent Ukraine during the decades preceding a full-scale war to cancer cells. Now, in his opinion, the SBU is “like a surgeon” trying to identify and detain spies.
The American publication, citing Ukrainian security officials, notes that Russian agents are focused primarily on collecting information about military facilities in Ukraine, in particular, military bases and ammunition depots.
The SBU has exposed more than 2 thousand state traitors since the beginning of the war. Russian agents used to grow in Ukraine like cancer cells. Today the SBU is like a surgeon who cleanses the Ukrainian soil of traitors and spies, Malysh emphasized.
Let us recall that earlier the head of the Kharkov regional prosecutor’s office, Alexander Filchakov, said that the gunners of the Russian missile at the funeral in the village of Groza were former police officers. On October 5, the invaders launched a missile attack on the village of Groza from the territory of the Belgorod region. As a result, the cafe was completely destroyed and 59 village residents were killed. The gunner brothers were declared in absentia on suspicion of treason, as well as complicity in violating the laws and customs of war. The circle of people with whom the traitors communicated and who carried out the attack is established.
