Peter Szijjártó is scheduled to hold talks on energy issues with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó visited Russia on Thursday, October 12. He said this on his Facebook page.

“Arriving in Moscow. The cold weather is setting in, energy security is again in the spotlight,” the official wrote.

Russian media said the Hungarian official will participate in Russian Energy Week, an annual Russian energy forum. In addition, he must conduct negotiations on energy issues with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

This is the fourth visit since February 24, 2022, when the Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The previous three visits of the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry to Russia since February 24, 2022 were also related to energy issues.
