The head of state heard information from the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and intelligence chiefs on the situation at the front and in the Middle East.
President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters, where three main issues were discussed. The head of state announced this on Telegram on Thursday, October 12.
The main issue is the situation at the front. The head of state heard the reports from the commanders – Zaluzhny, Syrsky and Tarnavsky. The situation in the main directions was discussed – in the east and south, where our troops are conducting both defensive and offensive operations.
The second important topic of reduction is the Ukrainian production of weapons and equipment, the volumes of which are constantly increasing.
“The Ministry of Strategic Industry has a clear task to present a program for supplying Ukrainian weapons for all basic needs – from missiles and drones to armored vehicles and shells. There have already been report on the individual elements of such a program. Good results. They will be more significant,” promised the president.
He gave separate instructions to Deputy Prime Minister Fedorov and Minister of Defense Umerov on maximum digitalization of supplies for the Defense Forces.
“Full accountability and control is our priority. There are clear deadlines for implementation,” Zelensky said.
According to him, the third important issue of the meeting is the situation in the Middle East.
“A comprehensive analysis from the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Litvinenko. We take into account all factors, protect the interests of our citizens in the region and work with partners to prevent wider destabilization,” said president
Earlier, the media reported that Zelensky intends to visit Israel. The office of the President of Ukraine has reportedly sent a request to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seeking permission for an official visit.
