A representative of the United Press Center of the Tauride Defense Forces, Alexander Shtupun, said that Russian troops continue active offensive operations in the Avdeevka area of the Donetsk region, using aviation. So, the invaders wanted to get at least some kind of significant “victory” and turn the tide of the conflict. He said this on the telethon.
“If at the beginning of a full-scale attack the enemy considers Avdievka as something of little importance, now capturing or besieging Avdievka for him is probably the greatest he can achieve at this stage,” said Shtupun.
According to him, in the past 24 hours the Russians have launched one missile strike and 39 air strikes. Also, Russian troops conducted 51 combat operations and carried out 930 artillery attacks.
Shtupun added that in the area of responsibility of the OSGV Tavria, fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled more than 10 attacks in the Avdeevka area.
