Two trains collided at the Pechatniki metro station of the Moscow metro. As a result of the incident, five people were injured, including the driver, the TASS agency reported on October 11, citing emergency services.

The accident occurred at 10:30, when an empty carriage transferred to the depot drove into a train standing at the station.

According to preliminary data, the driver, who was trapped in the cab, suffered bruises, fractures and cuts from the glass. One of the injured passengers is suspected of having a concussion.

The cause of the collision may be a technical fault, and driver error is also considered.
