About a thousand residents of surrounding villages were evacuated to Nikolaev because of the uprising. Nikolaev mayor Alexander Senkevich reported on it.

“Nearly a thousand people have been evacuated to Nikolaev from the nearest villages, who have lost their homes due to attacks by Russian occupiers. Some of them have already landed abroad or in Odessa, others stay with us, and we will help them, ”he said.

Senkevich noted that people are given hot food and clothing. The evacuees were housed in kindergartens.

According to him, the fighting goes on the border of the Nikolaev and Kherson regions so the villages suffer.
