There is progress in negotiations to unblock Ukrainian ports for grain exports, they say to Turkey.

“We are working to achieve a result on this issue as soon as possible. We are maintaining a dialogue with the Russian Federation and Ukraine, we are holding discussions with the UN. Some progress has been made. At the same time , there are technical issues that remain the topic of discussion. In particular: how will the corridor work? How and who will clean up the ports of the mines? What ships will go with the bulk carriers? “
According to him, the process of negotiations on the unblocking of Ukrainian agricultural exports is progressing.
Akar pointed out that the talks are slowing down the issue of trust between the parties. “The main problem is trust. Each of the parties wants to have guarantees on certain issues. We, for our part, are working hard to ensure this environment of trust,” he summed up.
At the same time, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today that there is no clear agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain.
“There are statements by President Putin, who said that in this case, Ukraine should clear the approaches to the ports, which will allow the ships, after appropriate examination by our military to ensure that these ships are not carrying weapons there, enter the port, load grain and then, if necessary, – even with our help – proceed towards international waters, ”Peskov said.
He added that this plan causes “distrust on the part of Ukrainian representatives.”
“Putin has said that the Russian side will not use these mined corridors, which it will do, for some offensive actions against those coastal cities,” Peskov said.
As reported, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said he did not trust Putin’s promises in the grain corridors.
