The Russians halted their naval group in the Black Sea due to the storm, leaving two submarine launch vehicles on duty.
On duty in the Black Sea, the Russian Federation maintains two submarine launch vehicles with a total salvo of eight Caliber. This was announced by the head of the joint press center of the Operational Command South, Natalya Gumenyuk, during the telethon.
The naval group was really reduced because the weather was on our side, the storm was very strong, staying at 4-5 for a few days, it was quite convincing for the Black Sea. And now the enemy carried out a round without using the surface ships, which were all deployed in their bases, sheltering from the storm. Two underwater missile carriers, together equipped with up to eight Calibers, were left on duty,” Gumenyuk said.
Let’s remember that at the beginning of the full invasion of Russia, the number of ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was 13 units. As of the end of September 2023, five of these ships are out of service.
