He believes that Russia is interested in sparking war in the Middle East in order to weaken world unity.
The president stated this in his evening address to Ukrainians on October 9.
Zelensky said that Ukraine and the whole world “see how Russian propagandists gloat,” and Iranian “friends of Moscow are quite openly lending their shoulder to those who attack Israel.”
And all this is a much greater threat than the world currently perceives. The world wars of the past flared up precisely because of local aggressions. And we know how to counter this threat. And we are preparing retaliatory steps. And most importantly, we defend the need for maximum unity in the world,” the president said.
