The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine visited primarily the command post of the Defense Forces in the direction of Bakhmut.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov visited the Bakhmut direction for the first time after his appointment, where he met with the military. The minister’s press service reported it on Facebook on Sunday, October 8.
Umerov visited the main command post of the defense forces in the Bakhmut direction. The head of the Ministry of Defense listened to the commander’s report and identified the composition of the units and the situation on the front line.
“I talked to the soldiers. I awarded the best soldiers with awards and state awards from the Ministry of Defense,” the minister said.
According to Umerov, the hottest destinations remain Bakhmut and Kleshchievka.
We remind you that on September 5, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Alexei Reznikov from the post of Minister of Defense. After that, he was replaced by the former head of the State Property Fund, Rustem Umerov.
